Purchasing and installation of my wood burner from The Stove Room was an easy and pleasant experience.

After a site visit from Mark and his advice over suitable burners to install, I visited their showroom on Burton Road and ordered a slightly taller one whose size fitted nicely in the space of my already knocked out fireplace. When it came to installation and opening up the chimney flue, Mark discovered it full of builders rubble, plus a large wooden lintel hidden under the plaster board which wasn’t suitable. Mark cleared out and arranged disposal of the rubble via a skip, took out the wood beam, replaced it and plastered, all at no extra cost to me despite an extra day’s work for Mark and his colleague. Mark also went to great trouble to ensure the two pieces of slate for the hearth matched each other, rejecting several pieces before hand before finding the right pieces.

I thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to install a wood burner to consider The Stove Room. My experience with them shows they are professional in their approach, have a great knowledge about wood burners and their installation, and the quality of their work is of a very high standard. I’ve been lighting my wood burner each evening over this winter period, and during this time I have had no problems at all using it and my front room is now really cosy and warm.
